Liverpool vs. WBA

Despite the latest excuse from Brendan Rodgers saying that his team is locked in a period of transition, Liverpool has players that are used to winning, and if that doesn’t happen this weekend, they will be under a huge
pressure from the media and even the supporters. But this is different game. This is kind of game where creative players like Coutinho, Lallana and Sterling can shine and make the difference on the pitch. Liverpool has wonderful supporters and I am sure that they will give their best to provide their players with the 12th player advantage.

On the other side we have decent WBA squad that is getting some good results in the shadow of bigger or more impressive clubs like Southampton is this season. They have beaten Tottenham on White Hart Lane 0:1, Hull City in the Capital One Cup with result 3:2 and crushed Burnley with result 4:0.

Victor Anichebe
Beating Tottenham and Hull isn’t just luck, and you can see that when you realize that WBA have Stephane Sessegnon, Georgios Samaras, Joleon Lescott, Victor Anichebe(injured) and Craig Gardner

All of these players are experienced and can take on any Premier League team. The only downside is their new manager, Alan Irvine. He has knowledge about the Premier League being assistant manager at Everton when David Moyes was manager. He has lead lower league teams, Preston and Sheffield Wednesday, but that is not level of decision making required to maintain the good form that WBA is in now.

This will definitely be Liverpool’s last hope to start winning game and put themselves in front of clumsy Arsenal and Manchester United, but maybe in the tittle competition with Chelsea and Manchester City. This will be wonderful opportunity for them, and chances are they’re going to grab it.
